Privacy Policy

We run no accounts and take no payments, so we hold very little about you. This page sets out what we do collect and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

• Basic usage data: pages visited, approximate location, referring site, device and browser type, in aggregate. It tells us which pages are useful.
• Affiliate referral data: when you follow a link to a casino, a code tells the operator the visit came from us. It identifies this site, not you.
• Emails you send us: kept only for as long as it takes to deal with them.

We never ask for identity documents, payment details or account logins, and you should never send them to us.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or profiling cookies. Usage measurement and affiliate referrals may set a cookie, and the casinos you visit set their own under their own policies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser and this site will keep working.

Why we process it and who sees it

Usage data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. Emails are processed so that we can respond to you. We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the providers that measure usage and the affiliate networks that run our referral links.

How long we keep it

Aggregate usage data is kept for up to 26 months. Emails are deleted once the matter is closed, unless we need to keep them for a legal reason.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, and receive a copy of it. Email letters@thehatboxoxford.com. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Other sites

Once you follow a link to a casino, you are on its site and covered by its privacy policy, not ours.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top.
